A small diagram showing the stratigraphic relationships of different rock units within the field site. The top unit is the Loch Raven Schist. Under the Loch Raven Schist is the Cockeysville Marble. Underneath the Cockeysville Marble is the Setters Formation. Under the Setters Formation is the Baltimore Gneiss.
A hand points to a fold in the outcrop. The fold hinge is pointing to the left of the image. Brown densely packed layers make up most of the rock, but to the right a very dark section of more weathered rock material can be seen.
A finger points to a fold in the rock layers. The layers are millimeter scale and the fold hinge is tight and pointing to the left bottom of the picture. Rocks are weathered with no fresh surface visible.
